Saharawi Ambassador signs open condolences book at the Zimbabwean embassy in Algeria

Algiers (Algeria) Sept 12, 2019 (SPS) - The ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic in Algeria, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, has visited the Zimbabwean embassy to sign the sympathy book and transfer his deepest condolences to his Zimbabwean counterpart  following the death of former president and African leader Rober Mugabe.

The Saharawi diplomat lamented, on behalf of the Saharawi people and government, the loss of one of the historic leaders of the African continent. Taleb Omar has highlighted Mugabe's sacrifice for the sake of freedom and intention of all the peoples of the continent, guaranteeing total African sovereignty over their resources and political decisions.

The Saharawi diplomat recalled Robert Mugabe's firm and immovable support for the struggle for the independence of the Saharawi Republic, which has reserved a privileged place in the collective memory of the Saharawi people.

“The great efforts and sacrifices of leader Robert Mugabe in the service of humanity and peace will be rooted in the modern history of the continent. It will be a source of pride and inspiration for the new African generations, ”said the Saharawi ambassador.

After announcing the death of the African leader, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic announced three days of national mourning in recognition of one of the symbols of the anti-colonial struggle in Africa.SPS
