Frente Polisario is left with no option but to reconsider its engagement in UN peace process (Frente Polisario)

Bir-Lahlou, 30 October 2019 (SPS) - The UN peace process in Western Sahara is at a critical juncture and the Frente Polisario is left with no option but to reconsider its engagement in the process, said the Frente Polisario in a statement following the Security Council adoption on MINURSO resolution‏.

USA delegation headed by Christopher Ross arrive to Saharawi refugee camps

Chahid EL Hafed, Oct 30, 2019 (SPS) - In the early hours of this day, the American diplomat Christopher Ross, accompanied by an important delegation from Princeton University in New Jersey, arrived at the Saharawi refugee camps as part of a work program supervised by the university administration. The visit of the former UN special envoy for the Sahara runs until next Friday.

Frente POLISARIO representative to UN meets with UN Security Council President

Stockholm - A delegation of members of the Swedish parliament start a visit to the Saharawi refugee camps and liberated territories of Western Sahara as from Sunday, said a statement of the representation of the Polisario Front in Sweden.

Polisario Front calls for immediate closure of El Guerguerat

New York, 27 October 2019 (SPS) - President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Brahim Ghali, has called for the immediate closure of the illegal border area of El Guergarat, opened by Morocco.

In a letter to members of the Security Council, Ghali said that the Polisario Front had neither agreed to the opening of the crossing border nor approved "trade traffic" in the region.
